11 x 10-inch loaf pan
3/4 cup margarine
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons wintergreen food color
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, cream together 2/3 cup margarine and 1/4 teaspoon salt until smooth. Stir in 1/2 cup sugar and egg until thoroughly combined. Stir in vanilla. Grumble mixture into prepared loaf pan.
Bake in preheated oven 10 to 12 minutes. Increase oven temperature to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and bake until soft, about 6 minutes. Cool 10 minutes; stir in flour and cereal. Rest in pan, cooling completely, 10 to 15 minutes, before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
