Honey Nut Cracker Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups rolled oats

2 1/2 cups milk

1 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup butter, softened

1 (4 ounce) can evaporated milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup honey

1 tablespoon molasses

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Place oats and milk in a bowl. Mix well. Dredge the sugar in butter, then place in the mixing bowl along with the brown sugar and the milk. Mix well. Transfer to a greased 8x8 inch baking pan. Layer the flour, baking soda, baking powder and baking soda over the oats and milk; spread over the center of the pie. Stir the egg into the mixture. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top of the ingredients.

Bake for 20 to 22 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the oats and milk are golden brown. Cool completely before cutting into bars. Cut into squares and store in an airtight plastic bag.
