Hot Salmon Dipping Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup vinegar

1 (10 ounce) can salmon

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

1 onion, finely diced

4 green onions, finely chopped

1 tablespoon kosher salt

1 teaspoon hot pepper seasoning

1/3 cup white sugar

Directions

In a medium saucepan bring vinegar, olive oil, onion, green onions, seasoning packets, sugar and pepper to a boil. Cover the pan, reduce heat to low and simmer 25 minutes. Let stand 2 or 3 minutes to let flavors mix.

Remove salmon from marinade, drain, and salt, pepper, tomato, orange juice, white sugar and marinade mixture. Mix together and set aside.

Heat a medium skillet over medium heat. Pour the vinegar mixture into skillet and place the salmon in the mixture. Repeat with remaining marinade, salt, pepper, tomato, orange juice and sugar marinade.

When mixture has heated to desired color, gently press salmon, turning to coat. Serve in sauce and with salad greens.
