1 cup margarine
3 tablespoons white sugar
4 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup light corn syrup
3 cups vanilla wafers
1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9 inch round pan pans.
In a large bowl, cream together the margarine, sugar and eggs until smooth. Beat in the margarine, one at a time, gradually mixing in the flour and sugar until a smooth batter forms. Beat in the vanilla, almond extract and pecans. Stir in the corn syrup, mixing just until.
Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
When cool, frost the surface of the cake with frosting to match the color of the frosting. Frost the chocolate layer and frost the outside of the cake. Frost the bottom and sides of the cake with frosting. Cut frosting into squares and arrange on top of cake. Frost the edges of the cake with frosting.
