4 slices Bacon
1 onion, thinly sliced
2 eggs
1 cup coarse salt
1 pinch garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon onion powder
3/4 cup vegetable oil
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
Place bacon in a large skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside.
Cut the onion into thin strips. Drain this onion and add to skillet with the eggs, salt, garlic powder and oregano.
Cook until eggs are set, stirring occasionally. Slowly pour the bacon grease into the skillet and mix with the onion mixture. Cook over medium heat until evenly brown.
Mix flour into skillet with bacon grease. Crumble garlic powder and oregano onto the bottom of the pan, and sprinkle evenly over the bread.
Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes to 1 hour, or until bread is golden brown. Remove from oven and sprinkle with lemon juice and ice. Serve hot from the pan.
