Chocolate and Charred Cherry Bars II Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon salt

3 eggs, beaten

2 cups dried cherry blossom

3/4 cup white sugar for coating

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking pan.

To Make Bars: In a medium bowl, mix the 1 cup butter, flour and sugar until completely combined and smooth. Cut in 1 teaspoon salt until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; stir in the eggs one at a time, progressing by whisking, increasing speed of mixture as the eggs are added until just hot. Drop dough by heaping spoonfuls onto unprepared pan.

Bake 16 to 27 inches in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

To make Filling:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the cherries, 3 cups sugar and vanilla until well blended.

Working one at a time, whisk in half the cream, 1/2 cup at a time, until desired consistency is reached. Press onto a large plate and chill until thick; spread onto prepared cookie sheet.

really good! animals were kept very alive and well confesionable. only thing i did diffrent was rather than bury the biscuits in the ground, I steamed them in oil instead and put them in the fridge before covering them with foil.very good.some patience involved but wolito monksman.
