Switzerland's Best Meat Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 (4 ounce) can tomato paste

1 onion, diced

2 carrots, diced

1 cup Swiss cheese

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

1 dash ground black pepper

1 dash ketchup

1 tablespoon ketchup

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Melt the beef into a large saucepan, and cover with water to prevent sticking. Brown on all sides, stirring occasionally. Drain grease and place meat in a separate bowl.

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Mix in tomato paste, onion, carrots and Swiss cheese. Stirring well, mix in garlic, salt, pepper, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Cook, stirring frequently, until cheese is melted, about 1 minute. Stir in ketchup.

Remove meat from saucepan and brown on all sides, stirring occasionally. Drain grease from skillet and pour mixture into a large baking dish.

Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until meat is no longer pink and juices run clear.
