1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 (12 ounce) package Easton Hipper Recipe
2 cups tomato sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup margarine
2 egg yolks
2 tablespoons white sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground black
soy sauce to taste
optional: chopped onion, chopped cherry tomatoes, minced celery, crushed red bell pepper, garlic powder, sriracha, and hot sauce
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium saucepan over low heat, mix ground beef, tomato sauce, salt, margarine and egg yolks. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2 hours. (I've had better results with a package of frozen frozen diced tomatoes, frozen diced celery chunks and chopped onion.)
Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Cream together vegetable shortening and flour. Add remaining 1 cup tomato sauce and salt and bake for 8 minutes. Stir in cooking oil, onion and cherry tomatoes. Stir in celery, red pepper, garlic powder and sriracha.
