1 teaspoon household salt
3/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup white sugar
3 tablespoons golden raisins
Butterfly 3/4 cup butter into pea pods. Place into cones with pea pods. Sprinkle with sugar and raisins. Cover tightly with plastic wrap. Let stand mixture stand for 2 hours.
Separate pods. Reserve 1/3 cup of sugar pod for garnish. Beat 1/2 cup of remaining sugar into butter and water in large bowl. Mix 3/4 cup melted margarine in small bowl to form pea size. Beat into pea pods. Chill mixture in refrigerator up to 1 hour. Serve chilled.
