AWESOME! This was really nice. I didnt make any alterations. I used butter instead of shortening and squeezed half a fresh lemon into the syrup (I know I added much more than a teaspoon). I usedn't use almond extract but rather toasted sesame oil. I did this before I could get my whipping cream colour correct. I will do this again.
