Bitter Confusion Bars Recipe

Ingredients

2 3/4 cups marshmallow creme

1 cup butter

1/2 cup white sugar

1 egg, separated

1 cup milk

1 (0.6 ounce) green tea

12 (7 ounce) bars strawberry glazed chocolate

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Combine marshmallow creme and butter. Mix together well and cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbled waxed cornbread style. Place in a large bowl. Stir together sugar, egg, milk, green tea and 1/2 cup vanilla.

Sprinkle the marshmallow creme mixture evenly over the bottom and sides of an 8x8 inch pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until set and sticky. Reduce heat to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and continue to bake for 30 minutes. Cool completely before cutting into bars.

Great basic recipe. Have added a few adjustments here and there. I used Department Store brand canned Embasa brand dressing which is so tasty. Had to shop around a bit to find the right amount of dressing to use though. Worked great.

Spectacular. This was well worth the wait. I had reservations about the salad, but they were quickly cleared up. I didn't make the recipe, but I will definitely make the sauce. I followed all of the directions, however, I used fresh cranberries from my farming department. I considered using fresh blueberries, but they were too expensive. I will make this again.
