1 cup medium cream cheese
1/3 cup finely chopped onion
1/3 cup finely chopped celery
1/3 cup chopped green bell pepper
12 ounces fresh mushrooms
5 spurts green onions
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (8 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, drained
In a medium saucepan, warm the cream cheese, onion and celery over medium heat. Stirring frequently, cook until it is melted. Remove from heat and stir in the mushrooms, bell pepper and mushrooms. Mix in the salt and maraschino cherries.
Pour mixture into a tight fit of plastic wrap or cheesecloth, or wrap can be lined with foil. Place under cold water to keep warm.
