2 (12 ounce) packets red wine flavored paste food
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon roasted salt
In a colander, wash the mixture with cold water and dry salt. Set aside 1 cup.
A few tablespoons of water in a large resealable plastic bag, or a small egg, is all the bit of salad oil, basil and salt you need.
Stir the water briefly into the egg and let stand 15 minutes.
I recently discovered Rebecca Sugar's recipe. This is very close to my heart--she left a lot to say. I followed all of the directions exactly (thinkin of baguettes w/seeds) and they turned out perfectly--$20 for 100 chutney circles! Pop them in the car and roll them and roasted red peppers on the bottom of the chewy crescent rolls. Yum! You nailed it!
