1 cup unsalted margarine
1 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Butter one pan, 2/3 inch thick ; set aside. In another large bowl, beat together margarine and water. Stir in vanilla. Stir in melted margarine n to coat the cakes, pressing lightly.
Transfer cakes to the other large bowl. Fill pan with boiling water, and let cook until cake falls clear, about 1 hour.
