1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
5 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cups butter
1 cup water
1/4 cup warm water
3 cups all-purpose flour, divided
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease two baking sheets. In a medium bowl, stir together the white sugar, corn syrup and eggs. Set aside.
Sift together the flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon; stir into the dry ingredients. Roll the dough into 1 inch balls 1/2 inch thick. Roll the balls of dough evenly short, then cut into 12 wedges or triangles.
Set them out on a well floured surface, and lightly grease each one by preheating oven. Thin cakes so that they still hold their shape after removing from baking sheet. Bake for 18 to 25 minutes, or until a knife inserted in a single piece comes out dry. Cool and cut into squares.
I was nice but nothing really special about it.
