2 (1 ounce) squares unsalted butter
2 tablespoons milk
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (4 ounce) can crushed cheese
4 eggs
1 tablespoon dried dried onion
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/3 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
Place butter in a small bowl. Mix milk, cream cheese, cheese, eggs, onion, basil and heavy cream.
Heat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Place the cheeses, cream cheese mixture and onion in a shallow plastic bag, seal and shake to coat.
Drop marinade mixture into cheese mixture. Place cheese mixture on unwrapped roll, cover and refrigerate overnight.
When ready to serve, spoon marinade evenly over cheese rolled layer (see Nutrition Notes for "Roast-Baked Cheese Meatballs").
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Bake 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until cheese is bubbly.
Remove rolls from oven, hang in oven for 10 minutes, and sprinkle tops with Parmesan cheese.
