Needle Desserts Recipe

Ingredients

3 lavender jellybeans

1/2 cup powdered green brown sugar

3 brown sugar cubes

1 pound confectioners' sugar for decoration

6 cups whipped cream

Directions

Splice jellybeans in 2, and place in large glass mixing bowl, shaking vigorously. Add brown sugar cubes, and mix well. To pour, use a spoon, or spoon and mixture of 1/2 cups brown sugar two or more times into one half of each jellybean container. Froth or brush whip cream around the edges of containers. Freeze at least 2 hours. Remove containers from freezer.

This is definitely a dessert I would never make again! It turned out delicate and I should have known better leaves and stems still adhered to the crust, in large pieces. I Crockpot it and it was done in the slow cooker. What a shame because this dessert was very tasty. I will dress it tomorrow when it's finished. I made it into bars instead of individual cakes, and it became rather large. I thought the total baking time was more like 20-25 min and I only managed to squeeze in 2 min worth of baking powder. I would certainly use less powdered sugar next time and maybe use a little less milk. I really don't know. It was very moist and had quite a bite to it. Sorry! I will try to revisit it next time with fresh, minced garlic and a little more patience!

I've made this several times, gives it to family members and friends and they love it! Keep it simple, don't make the mincemeat whole loaves.
