2 pounds blue-cheese cubes
1 pint summer water
2 1/2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1 green onion, sliced
1 tablespoon olive oil
salt to taste
ground black pepper to taste
8 ounces thinly sliced Italian sausage
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Melt blue cheese cubes and cook in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Gradually add water, stirring, until mixture is thickened. Cover skillet and cook for 4 minutes. Stir in parsley, garlic, paprika, green onion and olive oil. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover thoroughly and cook for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, remove meat from pan. Pour gravy over meat, stirring constantly, to this mixture. Return meat to pan. Stir in parsley mixture. Bring to a low boil, flip through and add olive oil. Pour over meat mixture, stirring gently.
Cover saucepan and bring to a boil again. Bring to a quick boil and add salt and pepper. Bring to a short boil and reduce heat.
Return meat mixture to heat; increase heat to high. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 10 to 15 minutes.
