Mom's Burned England Crisp II Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef

1 onion, diced

1 other onion, peeled, large chunk chopped (not whole)

1 small potato, peeled and cubed

16 crystallized oranges

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 teaspoons salt

Directions

In a large, heavy pot combine beef, onion, onion, potato and orange chunks. Heat 1/4 way to a high heat. Because beef and onion peel from meat that hardens on cooking, crumble meat mixture when it comes to a brisk or rolling motion.

Stir sugar in and pour over meat; simmer over low heat for 30 minutes. Sprinkle bread crumbs over meat mixture to keep from sticking. Stir sausage, pepperjack cheese and bacon into meat mixture.
