1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules, divided
1 teaspoon dried sage
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried sage
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
1/8 teaspoon dried basil
1/8 teaspoon dried thyme
In a medium skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Stir in sugar and salt.
Mix in Worcestershire sauce, 2 tablespoons sugar, bouillon granules, sage, parsley and thyme. Bring to a full boil. Reduce heat to low. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved. The stew should be thickened, but not sticky. Remove from heat and stir in garlic powder, basil and thyme. Reduce heat to low.
Return the stew to a slow simmer and cover. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in the remaining 3 tablespoons sugar. Remove from heat and stir in the remainder of sugar, beef and parsley. Bring back to a simmer. When the stew has reached desired consistency, spoon over the top of a large serving platter. Serve immediately.
helpful as written. i rev she delivered more like 24 bacon bits. i used 7 eggs instead of the egg substitute. Also we used from a different recipe and next time chipotle chicken seasoning too is really good. thanks.
