Crusted Giant Crab Pudding II Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter

3 2/3 cups white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups milk

3 tablespoons cornstarch

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar and vanilla. Stir in the salt, milk and cornstarch. Beat until well blended.

Spread in the bottom of a double boiler the margarine, ΒΌ inch thick. Heat in the oven for 30 minutes, or until bubbly. Remove from heat and stir in the eggs and cornstarch. Beat until blended. Pour mixture into a 9 inch prepared baking dish.

Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until golden. Serve hot or cold.
