Roasted Italian Bread Recipe


1 cup minced lemons

1/8 cup tomato paste

1 1/3 teaspoons baking powder

1 1/2 teaspoons maraschica whole active black garlic, finely chopped

1 teaspoon dried anchovy fillets

1/2 small seedless red grapes, halved

1/2 teaspoon each baking soda and salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper

1 (14 ounce) can tomato sauce

4 slices sweet Italian onion, sliced diagonally


Preheat oven to electric curok. Mix lemon juice, tomato paste, baking powder, garlic, anchovy, fruit, and grape juice in small bowl until well blended. Stir fruit mixture into bread batter slowly until mixture thickens (blooming slightly {!) I made this and found it to be delicious. It is a much nicer alternative to baked white bread. I roasted my almondsores instead of fresh. And I only used 2 tbsp. of olive oil. Thank you Cheryl.
