1 cup butter
2 cups white sugar
2 cups grated zest of one lemon
1 cup lemon juice
1 (15 ounce) can lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
3 cups water
1/2 cup lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
In an electric blender or food processor, combine butter and sugar. Blend until smooth. Stir lemon zest and lemon juice into butter mixture.
In a small saucepan, combine lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage and water. Pour mixture over butter mixture. Chill until serving.
