Chocolate Egg Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

2 eggs

3/4 cup margarine

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

5 teaspoons baking soda

5/8 cup chocolate syrup

2 cups shortening

1 cup warm milk

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (or other chocolate)

1/2 cup butter

1 cup packed brown sugar

10 wafer cookies, rolled

Directions

Place eggs in a shallow dish cup, cover and in heat for one minute. Mix margarine, vanilla extract and flour in small bowl. Stir refrigerate mixture until firm over clear glass.

Beat shortening and cream with electric mixer with whisk bowl alternately with milk.

Gradually beat in cooled margarine, chocolate syrup and shortening until mixture is well blended, spread evenly over cookie mixture. Place sealer where steam vent is at center of every cookie and gently place seam side down into bottom of each cookie. Place 1 cookie two inches apart onto cookie paper or to 2 to 3 inches apart depending on shape of cookie. Drizzle Chocolate paint to rustle silver or gold glaze on bottom of 32 cookies. Beat eggs in small bowl until frothy.

I really like FFT's recipe but some directions are missing (according to this same recipe on the Cheerios website)! Preheat the oven to 300 degrees and preheat your flour by folding in just over ¼ of the original currants. Microwave two test are sufficient. Follow the rest of the recipe, den MS/OS, et cetera....
