1 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 pound celery, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 pounds fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 medium head cabbage, shredded
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
1/2 cup golden raisins
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove celery and garlic, and stir in onions and mushrooms. Saute over medium heat for about 10 minutes, until vegetables are opaque.
Stir in cabbage, ketchup, vinegar, and golden raisins. Adjust amount of sugar or other flavored soda depending on your taste. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil until thickened. Cover, and serve hot.
