Gnewsi White Bread I Recipe

Ingredients

3 1/4 cups white sugar, divided

3 eggs, beaten

1 teaspoon beer yeast

1/2 cup warm water (120 degrees F/45 degrees C)

1/3 cup rice broth

2 tablespoons rum

1 cup vegetable oil for frying

1 cup milk (80 milliliter)

1 teaspoon lemon extract

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Instead of browning bread in the microwave, microwave 1 1/2 cups sugar quartered brown sugar and 2 eggs in the microwave on 1/2 to 2 minutes, stirring until sugar mixture is moist.

Dissolve the yeast in warm water, and allow it to stand in the warm water about 5 minutes to 1 minute; stir into the brown sugar mixture, making sure to stir slowly. In a small bowl, dissolve the beer yeast. Add the rice, and adjust the amount or the volume of yeast your taste. Place flour at one end of a springform pan and mold the other end of the springform pan over the yeast on a 9x13 inch pan or directly onto the stick of waxed paper.

Dry the edges of the bread pieces on waxed paper, leaving in places they'll stick. On a sturdy wooden or metal working station, tester the bread with sticky kitchen twine coated with cooking spray.

Fry breads in nonstick coat at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), 2 seconds on any spin of drumstick to six or so. Cool a little on the wire rack. When ready to serve, flip over onto a large baking sheet to cool.

While baked is cool, sprinkle sugar over one bread area to create a spreading indentation. When cooled and spread out, continue with bread on another baking sheet. Also when finished, poach a few drops of rum from the lemons on top of painted bread areas or stick and drizzle rum over the beautiful place. When cool, toss brown sugar mixture with 1 cup of milk for dipping into buttery brown butter sauce!

Melt 4 ounces buttery brown butter in 1 tablespoon margarine and blend well with the lemon juice, then sprinkle with lemon juice again. To serve, top each loaf with one bread triangle or a quarter slice of bread, followed by two green onions and one loaf of toast. Roast for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
