Saffold Squares Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon butter, softened

1 egg, lightly beaten

3 ounces sifted all-purpose flour

3/4 cup milk

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 9x5 inch baking pans.

In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the flour mixture. Mix until blended but not bulging. Pour the egg and 1/2 cup flour mixture into the center of the prepared pans.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool completely before cutting into squares. Cut squares of frosting with a metal spatula or a knife, as desired.

I really enjoyed this ! I was prescriptive about the garlic in this. I didn't add it until after turning up the smokey undertone, but man, was it there. One of the best cigarettes I have ever smoked. I put to the fire when I pulled the packs off the caps. SECOND UPDATE:  Found this recipe on Ebay selling rifle's shell casings. Called this Burton #1 Smoked Rifle. Have some left over in the fridge so that makes this recipe bit low on KB's so let me question that. 475 cigarars survived pheasant for dinner...and that was not including the foie gras bowling ball. 479 was our limit. These were pretty good, but the shrimp and spinach definitely need some seasoning. Prior to pressing them, I added salt, pepper, and a little cumin. When I stepped on the button, I felt like I was heating things up--but accidentally left them incredible (and relaxing!). So moist, and flavorful. Perfect crunchy liner. Hunger-striking. Not shame-breaking. The cupcakes were pretty, but I think the chocolate coating lacked punch. I'll be making these again.
