2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup wheat germ
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup white sugar
4 eggs
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups sliced almonds
2 cups cooked apples - peeled, cored, and chopped
1 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift together the flour, yeast, and salt. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, stir together the milk, yeast mixture and 1/2 cup sugar. Cook until a light golden color, about 10 seconds.
In a small bowl, whisk eggs and 1/2 cup of sugar with almonds. Fold in spice and paprika. Fold in the flour mixture. Pour into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven, until a knife inserted comes out clean.
This was easy, and the fruit was delicious!
So easy and absolutely delicious! I used a floral potpourri instead, and it came out fantastic! I didn't have any whipped cream to use up the vegetable, so I just put the chopped, cubed strawberries in a food processor for a few seconds before using.
