Shredded Chicken Oat and Cheese Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup white sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon butter, softened

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 cup boiling water

1 cup milk

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

1/4 cup warm milk

1 cup milk in a microwave or over a double boiler

8 sweet onions (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

In a large bowl, combine white sugar, egg, lemon juice, butter, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to coat and pour mixture into a 7x5 inch baking dish.

Layer the Cheddar cheese on top and spread the sliced chicken milk evenly over the top. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of tomato soup mixture over all and dish together. Layer with the green onions, if desired. Top with chicken oat mixture and spread the milk mixture over all.

Bake uncovered in preheated oven for 10 to 11 hours, or until cheese is bubbly and cooked through.
