Creamy Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup packed light brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup chopped pecans

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.

In a large bowl, mix the sugar, brown sugar, flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and pecans. Set aside.

In a separate bowl, mix together the creamed sugar mixture, chopped pecans, and cake mix. Stir the pecans into the creamed sugar mixture. Drop by spoonfuls onto the cookie sheets.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks. While cookies are baking, grease cookie sheets.

The vinegar component in this stirred fry the other night was not enough for me. I would normally not complain about a flavor component but given that I had read that it could be used to flavor crackers, I was concerned. However, my husband picked this recipe and I would not have turned it down. I was sparing with the salt because I didn't want to upset the pecan but it was delicious.
