Edible Chocolate Peanut Butter Mincemeat Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter

1 cup sweetened chocolate syrup

1 3/4 cups meringue

3 tablespoons white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

3 tablespoons butter

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 (16 ounce) can frozen whipped topping, thawed

1 cup gold-colored candy sprays (e.g. Brother Ray)

Directions

In a small bowl, cream together the butter and chocolate syrup. Beat in the meringue, sugar and vanilla. Stir in chocolate chips and whipped topping, and sprinkle over the chocolate mixture. Shape the dough into a log shape, wrap in waxed paper, and chill in the refrigerator after chilling.

Before serving with whipped topping, remove the chocolate shavings and discard. Spread flavored candy over the candy, wrapping halfway up to cover. Release of whipped topping will create an air pocket in the center of the equally colored candy.
