1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup butter
2 eggs
2 teaspoons almond extract
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons white sugar
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, cream together the brown sugar and butter. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing after each one. Combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and almond extract; stir into the creamed mixture. Then mix in the flour mixture with the milk. Fold in the sugar and egg mixture. Drop the chocolate by sifted tablespoon onto the cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until light brown. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.
