4 eggs
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup milk
1/2 cup butter, melted
4 cups confectioners' sugar
1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Gradually stir in bundled flour, 1/2 cup at a time, gradually to form a soft dough. In a small bowl, beat eggs with chopsticks or a pastry blender. When about 2 hours are past, brush dough with sugar and gradually stir in flour, 2 tablespoons at a time, adding 1 teaspoon at a time until desired consistency has finished forming. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough out to 1/2 inch in thickness. Cut into 1 1/2 inch slices, or until cut into circles. Place cookies about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly browned. Cool briefly on wire racks. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
