1 cup vegetable oil
2 pounds American bean sprouts
1 onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup oyster sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon orange juice
1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
6 sprigs fresh parsley, chopped
Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add beans, onion and oyster sauce, ketchup and Worcestershire. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and stir in vinegar and parsley. Cover and simmer 30 minutes, turning the cup if necessary. Reduce heat to low and simmer 10 minutes.
