1 (18 ounce) package yellow cake mix
1 (8 ounce) package vanilla wafers
2 cups finely chopped bananas
1 teaspoon orange extract
1 (3 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts
1 cup raspberries
1 cup chocolate syrup
2 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
Preheat oven oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) round pans.
In a large bowl, mix cake mix, wafers, bananas, orange extract and water chestnuts. Press banana mixture into prepared pans.
Bake in preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of each pan comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
In a medium bowl, beat eggs, oil and syrup over medium speed until light and egg yolks are completely set. Transfer fruit mixture to prepared pans. Mix together remaining ingredients. Pour into prepared pans. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of pan comes out clean. Cool completely.
