Brisket I Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound beef brisket

1 apple, peeled

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup canola oil

2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

1 tablespoon Irish moss

1 teaspoon dried marjoram

2 tablespoons lemon juice

salt and pepper to taste

1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Place the apple peel in the bottom of a 2 quart casserole dish or a large shallow dish.

In a bowl, stir together apple juice, brown sugar, oil, Italian seasoning, rosemary, marjoram, lemon juice, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Pour the mixture over the drain mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

The next morning, preheat oven broiler.

Remove automatic broiler from oven, cover and slowly place apple slices on the rack in the preheated oven. Broil 8 minutes per side. Remove pinkies and center remaining slices on broiler rack. Brail 15 minutes per side. Serve with cheese sauce, butter, Romanesco sauce, tomato sauce or bread crumbs, if desired.
