1 cup brown sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups sliced almonds
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth. Spread over cookie sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes. Remove cookie sheet from oven. Immediately sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and lemon juice. In the microwave or in a metal bowl, mix together the brown sugar mixture with the cinnamon liquid.
When the cinnamon sugar mixture just begins to thicken, place the almonds in the microwave or in a metal bowl and microwave until fully caramelized.
