4 pounds beef roast
1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 cups dried onion
2 teaspoons dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried thyme
salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 teaspoons dried rosemary
1 cup all-purpose flour
Brown the roast in hot oil, brushing continuously with garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, onion, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper.
Place the roast in a 10x15 inch baking dish. Add marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, onion, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper to taste.
Roast uncovered 40 minutes in the preheated oven, broiling 5 minutes on each side.
