1 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 1/4 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup rolled flax seeds
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
Beat butter in a large bowl. Beat in sugar until smooth. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Stir flour into butter mixture until well blended. Stir in oats, flax seeds, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes
