Almond Butter Tart Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup softened butter

1 (15 ounce) can canned almond milk

1 cup reduced fat dairy cream

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, at room temperature

1 quart heavy cream

6 ounces confectioners' sugar

1 teaspoon cream of tartar

1 teaspoon almond extract

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

5 tablespoons milk

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Place butter in a large, heavy skillet. Cook over medium heat until melted. Remove from heat and add milk and cream. Immediately stir in cream cheese, cream cheese mixture, confectioners' sugar, cream of tartar, almond extract, vanilla essence and milk.

Fry, turning frequently, for 5 to 10 minutes on each side, or until the cheese is melted. Cool mixture on a warm plate.
