1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup finely chopped onion
3 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 cup butter
Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Saute onion and garlic until golden, but not brown. Stir in flour slowly, stirring constantly. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat, until mixture is thickened. Stir in onion and garlic. Cook and stir until onion is completely coated with flour mixture.
While dough is cooking, combine milk, salt, pepper, mustard, dry mustard and dry mustard. Mix together and pour into a greased 2x8-inch baking dish.
Bake uncovered in preheated oven for 1 hour or until bubbly.
Cool before cutting. Slice ribbons of meat into 1 inch strips, and arrange on a platter. Serve ribs chilled.
