Krispy Kritters Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup water

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

2 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced

1 onion, sliced into 1/4-inch rings

2 carrots, cut into 1/4-inch strips

3 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced

1 onion, sliced in 1/2-inch rings

2 tablespoons brown sugar

6 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon brown sugar for dusting

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions

In a large saucepan, combine water, oil, potatoes, onions, carrots, potatoes, onion rings, carrots, potatoes, onion rings and potatoes. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes. Add brown sugar and brown sugar. Heat until just caramelized.

Remove from heat. Stir in flour and stir into the pot. Gradually stir. Keep stirring until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Add brown sugar, lemon juice and remaining brown sugar mixture, stirring until just blended. Remove from heat. Sprinkle mixture over warm cooked dough.

Return dough to simmer, stirring occasionally, until all ingredients are evenly blended, about 5 minutes. Serve hot.
