Mystic Snowballs Recipe

Ingredients

1 package deep dish pastry sheets

2 eggs

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 1/2 cups white sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking salt

1 teaspoon paprika

1 1/2 teaspoons lemon zest

1 cup brown sugar

2 cubes lemon juice

1/4 cup whipping cream

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 12 inch round baking dish pans.

Place eggs in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring saucepan to boiling and cook, stirring occasionally, until the eggs are slightly browned. Remove from heat; stir lemon juice in with egg yolks. Return pan to medium heat. Gradually beat remaining sugar, flour, brown sugar and lemon juice into egg mixture. Gradually beat whipped cream into egg mixture with wire whiskers. Pour mixture into pans.

Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the snowball comes out clean. Cool in pans for 15 minutes, completely set, before turning onto a plate.
