1/6 cup butter, softened
1 (16 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
4 ounces Italian sausage, cut into 1 inch pieces
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion
1 (3 pound) whole chicken leg
1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste
1/4 cup tomato juice
1 (4 ounce) package pimento cheese, diced
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease two 9-inch shallow baking pans.
Place bacon in large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Remove bacon, and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, cheese, horseradish, onion, chicken, tomato paste, tomato juice, pimento cheese, and tomato paste. Spread mixture inside prepared pans. Cover, and chill in refrigerator for 1 hour, or until cheese is somewhat firm.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until set.
