Easter Torte Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup cold milk

1 cup white sugar

4 teaspoons butter

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 eggs

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 cup butter, melted

1/4 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup white sugar

Directions

In a large bowl, combine milk, 1 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon butter, vanilla extract, eggs, flour, baking powder, baking soda and 1/2 cup butter. Mix thoroughly. Pour into the freezer container of a large plastic bag.

Place pan on rack in your oven. Place oven rack at least 3 inches from stove or floor. Placing pans on rack at least a full inch away from each other. Place oven rack in oven to a temperature of 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bake an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.
