3/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1 egg
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 2/3 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup flaked coconut
1/3 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9x5 inch round pans.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and corn syrup. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Mix in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and milk. Stir into creamed mixture. Pour into prepared pans.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, until firm and golden. Remove from oven and sprinkle the pecans all over the edges of the pans.
