1/2 cup finely chopped onion
4 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium onion, cut into 1/2 inch slices
2 green onions, cut into wedges
3 tablespoons garlic powder
1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 tablespoon finely chopped canned tomato
In the order given below, fry onions and green onions for approximately 1 minute each. Remove from pan and dust with garlic powder, chili powder, salt, sugar, cumin seeds, chili powder and paprika. Sprinkle with lime juice and discard the remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat to approximately 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
