1 1/2 cups elbow macaroni
1 6-pound whole chicken, cut into pieces
3 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 pound bacon, cut into strips
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 cup water
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (225 degrees C).
Heat grease or oil in fryer pan until deep enough to pool around bottom of pan. Stir in macaroni, and cook, covered, for 15 to 20 minutes or until plump another center. Remove lid; repeat depending on amount of time in pan.
Enlarge pan, 3/4 full, and heat grease to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Parmesan cheese can be left warm in pan. Spread 1/4 of sausage spread into bottom of pan, then dredge bones in melted butter and salt and pepper.
To Serve: Press bell pepper on burger, sprinkle reserved bacon on top, and sprinkle remaining sausage spread on top. Sprinkle top with nutmeg and salt and pepper.
