1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
4 tablespoons brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
3 tablespoons water
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch salt
4 eggs
3 1/2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease and flour one 9-inch to 8 inch
large muffin cup or 3/4 cup small muffin liners. Set aside.
In a large saucepan, combine butter, sugar and brown sugar; stir until melting. Beat in eggs and water. Cook over medium heat or low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Return sauce to low heat, stirring often, until mixture is emulsified.
Remove muffins from pans. Spoon mixture into prepared liners.
Melt whipped topping and spread evenly over all muffin. Bake at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) or until it begins to crackle.
