1 (16 ounce) package zucchini noodles
1 (16 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon pepper seasoning
1 teaspoon dried minced onion
1 teaspoon dried basil
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 slice bacon, diced
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
In a saucepan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Stir together garlic, salt, salt, pepper, basil, oil, sugar and bacon. Cook, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes or until mixture coats the back of a metal spoon.
Add zucchini noodles, tomato sauce, pepper seasoning, onion and basil to saucepan; mix thoroughly. Place zucchini mixture in baking dish.
Bake uncovered in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with brown sugar. Sprinkle with basil. Bake 45 minutes more or until zucchini is tender.
